This is for the ones who are buried in the darkness. This is for the ones who have anxiety. This is for the ones who don’t have any friends. This is for the ones who are so busy you can’t take care of yourself. This is for the ones who feel like everything they do is a disappointment. This is for the ones who feel like they have nothing to offer the world. This is for the ones who feel like they need to take drugs or drink alcohol to get away from everything. This is for the ones who’s parent/parents have abandon them. This is for the ones who’s family never talks to them. This is for the ones who feel like they are a failure. This is for the ones who want to give up. This is for the ones who’s minds won’t stop running.
I’m also writing this to myself. Not that I’ve done drugs or drank, cause I haven’t, but I have felt like giving up, felt that everything I do is a big disappointment. I know what it’s like to feel like everything you do make you feel like a failure, to want to give up. And I hope that this touches someone to not give up.
“The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I lack” ( Psalm 23:1 )
All your hearts desires, your longings, and your needs are already with The Lord. All you have to do is go to go to The Lord. Even through the darkest times you may go through, there is NOTHING you lack. Because The Lord has everything in the palm of His Hands. Run to the Good Shepherd. Let Him lead you!
“What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” ( Romans 8:31 )
Though you may feel alone or may be physically alone, you aren’t!! God is with you forever. Through thick and thin. Through the ups and downs. He will never leave you. And though you may feel like everyone is against you and even the odds are against you, God is never and will never be against you. He is always going to be the one rooting for you, cheering you on and encouraging you.
“We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.” ( Romans 8:28 )
Bad things happen to good people. Evil and sin create pain in our world. This is not God’s fault, but it can all be used by God to help us grow, to teach us compassion, to make us stronger, holier people, and to lead us to Him.
“Come now, let us set things right, says the Lord: Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be red like crimson, they may become as white as wool.” ( Isaiah 1:18 )
As Saint John Paul the Great said, “We are not the sum of our weaknesses and failures; we are the sum of the Father’s for us and our real capacity to become the image of His Son.” Which is true, we are not defined by our sins, weaknesses and failings. To whip the slate clean, to make as white as snow, all we have to do is run to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Remember, you are loved and though things look rough now and you can’t seem to find the light at the end of the tunnel, all you need to do is look up at the Son and find the Light in Him. He will guide you through rough waters, through snowy mountains and through the lowest points in your life. Through your highest points and when you hit rock bottom, He will be with you. You have to go through the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. You have to feel pain, to know what one truly is. Don’t run from the pain, embrace it!!
I love you and I’m praying for you!
